Curtain Motor

What is a Curtain Motor?
A curtain motor is a compact electric motor unit specifically designed to drive stage curtain tracks. It converts rotational motion into linear curtain movement through a belt, cable, or rope drive system. Curtain motors are the automated upgrade to manual curtain operation.
How It Works
A curtain motor typically consists of an AC or DC motor, gearbox, and drive mechanism. The motor output connects to a drive belt or cable that runs the length of the curtain track. When the motor turns, it pulls the belt/cable, moving the curtain carriers along the track. Modern curtain motors integrate variable speed control for smooth start/stop, soft start/stop to prevent curtain swinging, limit switches for open/close position, and remote control (wall switch, IR remote, or DMX).
