Stage Lift

stage lift, stage elevator, platform lift

What is a Stage Lift?

A stage lift is a powered platform that raises and lowers performers, scenery, or equipment between different levels. Stage lifts can move between stage level and below-stage level (or above), enabling dramatic entrances, level changes, and versatile staging configurations.

How It Works

Stage lifts use various drive mechanisms depending on size and application: Scissor mechanism (for compact, low-travel lifts), Direct plunger / hydraulic (for smooth, heavy-duty operation), Screw drive (for precise positioning in small lifts), Wire rope hoist (for large lifts with long travel), and Chain drive (for medium-duty applications). All stage lifts must comply with EN 17206 safety requirements including platform edge guards, emergency lowering capability, anti-slip surface, and load rating markings.
