What is a Traveler Track?

A traveler track is a specific type of curtain track designed for bi-parting (two-panel) curtains that open from the center to both sides. It is the most common curtain track configuration in proscenium theaters and multi-function halls.

How It Works

The track has two carrier groups — left and right — driven by a shared motor or manual mechanism. When activated, one group moves left while the other moves right, creating a center-split opening. The track typically uses a continuous belt or rope loop to synchronize both panels.
