Wire Rope Collector

wire rope collector, cable collector, rope storage device

What is a Wire Rope Collector?

A wire rope collector is a device that neatly stores and manages excess wire rope or cable when the connected load is at its lowest position. It prevents rope tangling, protects the rope from damage, and maintains a clean installation appearance. Wire rope collectors are essential components in stage curtain track systems and lifting installations.

How It Works

A wire rope collector uses a spring-loaded or motor-driven spool mechanism. As the load rises, the collector releases rope; as the load lowers, the collector reels in the excess rope, keeping it organized and under tension. The collector maintains constant rope tension regardless of position, preventing slack loops that could tangle or damage the rope.
