Batten Clamp with Turnbuckle

Two-part bolted batten clamp with an integrated clevis for turnbuckle connection. It anchors the lifting line's turnbuckle to the batten tube — no drilling or welding — and the turnbuckle take-up provides final batten leveling. Clamp slides along the tube to match any suspension point layout.

The BRD Batten Clamp with Turnbuckle — a pipe batten clamp in standard theatre rigging terminology — is the small part that ties the whole rig together: a two-part, bolted clamp that grips the batten tube and provides an integrated clevis for the turnbuckle that carries the lifting line.

No Drilling, No Welding

Traditional batten rigging often means drilling the pipe or welding lugs on site — slow, inconsistent, and hard on the pipe. This clamp wraps around the tube in two halves and locks with bolts, so suspension points can be added, moved or repositioned at any time. The tube stays intact, and the clamp's grip carries the load through friction and bolt clamping force.

Leveling Built In

Paired with a turnbuckle, the clamp becomes the fine-adjustment point of the whole system. After the hoist lines are set, each turnbuckle takes up or lets off until the batten sits perfectly level — a few turns per point instead of re-rigging.

Part of a System

The clamp pairs with BRD I-beam battens, single-pipe battens, manual winches and motorized hoists. It is a standard component in our rigging packages for theaters, studios, school auditoriums and touring systems, available with finishes and bolt sizes matched to the tube specification.

BRD Technology manufactures stage rigging components in China with 500+ installations across 14 countries and regions, supplying clamps individually or as part of complete suspension systems.

In pipe clamp terms this is a batten clamp with turnbuckle — the standard theatre rigging accessory for suspending a pipe batten from wire rope. Also supplied as a pipe coupler or pipe clamp to match different batten diameters, each clamp is proof-loaded and delivered with the turnbuckle pre-assembled.
