Microphone Lift
The BRD microphone lift is a self-contained hoist that raises and lowers microphone arrays over a 12 m stroke on dual wire ropes. Motor, rope drum and control gear sit in one compact steel enclosure with forced-air cooling, emergency stop and XLR signal pass-through, so the mic bar travels with its cabling already patched.
Technical Specifications
Key Features
- 12 m lifting stroke carries microphone arrays between truss level and stage floor
- Dual wire rope suspension keeps the mic bar level and adds line redundancy
- Motor, rope drum and control gear built into one compact steel box — hang it and wire it
- Forced-air cooling supports continuous show-duty cycles
- Emergency stop on the panel; XLR signal lines travel with the lift so mics stay patched
The BRD Microphone Lift is a dedicated mic hoist for theatres, concert halls and multipurpose auditoriums: it lowers microphone arrays from the truss to stage level and back over a 12 m stroke, on dual synchronized wire ropes.
One Box, Ready to Hang
Motor, rope drum, limit protection and control gear are built into a single steel enclosure with a forced-air cooling fan. Hang the unit, land the dual wire ropes on the mic bar, connect power in/out and the XLR signal pass-through — the installation is done. No separate machine room, no exposed drive train.
Signal Travels with the Lift
The XLR harness is routed along the lift, so microphones stay patched while the bar moves. The mic array lands at the stage floor already plugged in — no re-patching, no cable clutter, no downstage ladder work.
Built for Show Duty
Dual wire rope suspension keeps the mic bar level and provides line redundancy. The emergency-stop button sits on the front panel. Forced-air cooling supports the repeated start-stop cycles of a full show schedule.
